Yamagata University started a package research which can keep fruits and others fresh. Though Yamagata Prefecture is a leading fruits production region such as cherry, it is difficult to export to overseas because of bad keeping quality. Yamagata University is creating a new package material and method, which can not only protect fruits against shock, but also keep them fresh with a fresh diagnosis sensor, aiming to develop an integrated system that will innovate the package industry. Tomoya HIGASHIBARA, Associate Professor of Faculty of Engineering, Yamagata University, and the other 8 young researchers have participated the development team.
