Yamagata university released on Oct, 3 that a soft, flexible and ultra-thin lithium-ion battery was developed. This battery uses solid gel electrolyte instead of conventional method, liquid. The thin film shape makes it possible to get the thickness less than 1 mm and can be bent for use. With the support of manufacturers, the research team will search how to make mass-production and cost reduction for next step, aiming to put in practical use for the wearable terminal battery within 2 years. .......
